Gardenway's Champion Hungarian Vizslas
Gardenway
is the home of 4 Full Champions. In addition to Grebe and Bula, their daughters
from the 'C' and 'D' litters - Charlotte and Dawn Run - also gained their
'Full' titles. Dawn was for many years the current Top CC winning bitch in
the UK. In addition, Dawn's brother Drumlargen gained his Show title although
a bad experience as a youngster prevented him from trying for his qualifier
in the field. In addition, though not a CH, we had the half American Russetmantle
Aureole of G (Reo) who was a joy to watch when working and went on
to gain a COM in the field as well as siring some promising youngsters.
Jackie is proud proud that the Gardenway name has achieved success overseas
as well as at home in the UK. In Australia, Charlotte's brother Chekov gained
his title and sired many top winning progeny for owner Faye Harris's Hanafor
kennels. More recently Naomi & Andrew Cragg (Hungargunn) have had success
with G. Glint of Gold both in gaining his title and with his progeny. Also
in Australia was Rob and Mandy Auricht's Ch Stubbs Red from Gardenway, by
Gardenway Harvest Moon ex Glendun buttons. Stubbs wasn't bred by Jackie,
but gets a mention because he has flown the flag for Gardenway so well. Sadly
he died just three weeks after his 9th birthday.
In Canada Eileen Wilkes (Ferngold), following the successes of her first UK imports, now has Am/Can Ch G. Celtic Breeze and Christina Michelak has Am/Can Ch. G. Gunner's Moon. Sadly Charlotte, Reo, Dawn and Drum are no longer with us, however Dawn's precocious offspring by Int/Hung Ch/Sh.Ch. Kilato-Teri Furge Mokany of Helmlake, Sh Ch Gardenway Dramatist (also known as Grebe after his distinguished forefather) and Sh Ch Gardenway Dawn Breeze (aka Poppy) have carried on the family name. Both have produced exciting offspring.
